Membership Eligibility

Banking at Bellco means you’re a valued member of one of the largest credit unions in Colorado. Your membership gives you access to lower interest rates on loans, higher yields on deposits, our wide network of surcharge-free ATMs, free financial advice, and more.

You can join online or stop in any of our branch locations. There’s a share deposit, which is your ownership share in Bellco.

Once a member, always a member. Even if you take a different job or move to another state, you can keep all your Bellco accounts.

There are four simple ways to make the switch to Bellco:

Where you live or work
If you live or work in any of the following areas, you are automatically eligible to join Bellco:  Adams County, Alamosa County, Arapahoe County, Boulder County, Broomfield County, Denver County, Douglas County, El Paso County, Fremont County, Garfield County, Huerfano County, Jefferson County, Larimer County, Las Animas County, Mesa County, Moffat County, Pueblo County, Rio Blanco County, Weld County

Family

Someone in your family is a Bellco Member
If anyone in your family (related by blood, marriage, or adoption) is a Bellco member then you are eligible for membership, too.

Employer

You work for a Bellco Select Employee Group (SEG) company
Check our list of employee/association groups. You are automatically eligible for Bellco membership if you or a member of your immediate family is employed by or affiliated with any of these companies.

Organization Membership

For interested parties outside of Colorado, we’ve got you covered. By joining the Bellco Foundation, you become eligible for Bellco membership. The Bellco Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and any contribution you make to the Foundation may be tax deductible. Consult a tax professional regarding the tax deductibility of your donation. Simply follow the instructions at BellcoFoundation.org to get started.

Important Information about Opening an Account

To help the government fight the funding of terrorist and money-laundering activities, the U.S. Patriot Act requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address of physical residence, date of birth, taxpayer identification number and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
